Component Design

The Unique flexibility of the Kore system components enables architects and designers to embrace modern and traditional styles of buildings without restrictions. There are no limitations on final external appearances and is indistinguishable from other construction methods.

Long Life Guarantee

Concrete has long term benefits with a minimum life of 120 years and requires little maintenance. The KORE expanded polystyrene complements the durability of the concrete.

Internal Moisture Control

Thermal insulation coupled with the thermal mass of the concrete results in a building that will moderate temperature fluctuations and maintain temperatures during unheated periods, thereby helping to avoid condensation and mould growth.

Unrivaled Strength

The Extra Heavy Density component properties of the KORE polystyrene panel creates a strong, durable mold into which 20-25 Newton concrete is poured. Once poured the concrete cures at its optimum curing temperature resulting in higher compressive and tensile strength of the concrete.

Optimum Concrete Conditions

The thermal movement of the concrete is relieved as KORE will increase the temperature of the concrete during construction, therefore the resulting strain on concrete cooling will occur over a longer period enabling relief by creep strain. The concrete is cured under well controlled conditions and as such reduces the rate of moisture loss and increases the time to reach equilibrium conditions enabling more creep strain to occur.

Flood Resistant

Materials used in the KORE System, polystyrene and concrete, do not deteriorate when wet and cope well with flooding.

Basement and Retaining Walls

The KORE System is particularly suitable for basement and retaining wall construction and can be used with various waterproofing systems to produce effective water resistance.
